Water Polo at St Andrew’s
Water Polo at St Andrew’s is a College based sport playing in the Sunshine Coast Schools Competition. Over 120 students (both boys and girls teams) represent the College each year and St Andrew’s has been named Champion School in 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013.
We also compete in a number of school tournaments around Queensland and in 2019 won the GPS Invitational Carnival in Brisbane.
Water Polo takes place each Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday afternoons.

2019 Water Polo
2019 is shaping up to be another fantastic year for Water Polo at St Andrew’s. The strength of the sport within the community continues to grow, with approximately 125 students to compete in 15 teams and the dedication of our players and coaches continues to amaze.
During 2019 we will again be entering teams in Sunshine Coast Secondary Schools Water Polo Competition which takes place in Term 3 and Term 4. The competition is divided into the following divisions:
- Junior Teams – Year 6/7/8 Girls and Year 6/7/8 Boys
- Intermediate Teams – Year 9/10 Girls and Year 9/10 Boys
- Senior Teams – Year 11/12 Girls and Year 11/12 Boys
The competition will take place each Monday evening at various pools on the Sunshine Coast commencing on 5 August 2019

We are delighted to have a state of the art facility for Water Polo at St Andrew’s. The centre can host International and National Water Polo events.
Key features include:
- 50m pool which is 2metres deep throughout.
- The pool can be set up for 2 full size 25m fields
- The pool can also be set up for 4 x 25m fields.
- Full screen 6 metre by 3metre display for scoring.
- Grandstand for viewing.
- High quality AV and sound system.
- Modern changing facilities.
- Healthy cafe / restaurant.
St Andrew’s offers outstanding training facilities for school teams, representative teams and touring Interenational teams.
St Andrew’s Training takes place each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon. Specialised skills clinics take place each Wednesday morning.
We also offer a fun Year 3/4 Water Polo Development Program. Year 5/6 Water Polo Club takes place Each Wednesday afternoon.
Weekend training and clinics are also held as well as Holiday clinics.
